Hotel del Coronado

The event will be held at one of the most beautiful resort destinations in the world, the Hotel del Coronado. Since it was first built more than 125 years ago, the Hotel del Coronado has been a beacon of grandeur and refinement among vacation destinations in Southern California and the world. With its iconic red-shingled roof adding a dash of majestic color to the dazzling azure Pacific coastline, "The Del" stands as the definitive example of what a luxury resort should be.

Nestled on 28 stunning oceanfront acres, The Del is conveniently located just across the bay from downtown San Diego and its many attractions, and only a 15-minute drive from the San Diego International Airport.

Frequently asked questions

Where will the meeting be held?
Hotel del Coronado, 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118

I am not a delegate for my chapter – may I attend the meeting?
Yes! The Leadership Summits serve as CREW Network's“leadership laboratories,” where members can receive leadership training, participate in association business, expand their networks and develop their skills in a supportive environment. Chapter delegates are required to attend, but all members – especially chapter leaders – are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for in-depth training and networking in a relaxed, intimate setting. Delegates and CREW Network board members will have assigned seats during the Council Meeting for voting purposes, but all other attendees are invited to join the meeting at one of the guest tables.

Will there be takeaways that I can share with my chapter?
All CREW Network slides will be posted on this website after the event. In addition, a news article will be posted following the event and any photos taken by CREW Network will be posted to our Flickr albums.

What is a CREW Network board liaison?
They are liaisons between CREW Network and the chapter. Each CREW Network board member is assigned seven to 10 CREW chapters.

What are dine arounds and how do they work?
Dine arounds provide CREW Network members a fun opportunity to socially network with other members from across North America. Dine around expenses will be split evenly between the attendees, including transportation, if applicable. Each attendee will be responsible for covering the cost of his/her own alcoholic beverages. Please bring cash to facilitate the cost-sharing process.

What is the difference between the CREW Network board liaison and leadership (traditional) dine around?
CREW Network board liaison dine arounds are held on Thursday evening and are for chapter presidents and delegates only. Preregistered chapter presidents and delegates are automatically assigned a restaurant location. Detailed information will be emailed prior to the event, and will be available at the on-site registration desk. Other registrants may choose from a selection of leadership (traditional) dine arounds. Sign-up sheets for these optional dine arounds will be available at the CREW San Diego hospitality table.

All attendees may attend the Friday evening dine arounds. Sign-up sheets will be available at the CREW San Diego hospitality table during receptions and meeting breaks until 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. The sign-up sheets will include specific details for the respective dine around.

What is the dress code for the meeting?
Business casual is the suggested attire for the event. Although hotels try to maintain meeting room temperatures at a comfortable level, there is a chance at some point during the meeting you may become too hot or too cold. Layered clothing is suggested in order to remain comfortable.

What is the closest airport to the hotel?
San Diego International Airport (SAN), which is approximately eight miles from the Hotel del Coronado.

What is the taxi fare from the airport to the hotel?
Approximate taxi fare from the San Diego International Airport to Hotel del Coronado is $30 each way.

Are there other means of transportation to and from the airport?
To arrange for private car transportation, please contact LaCosta Limousine at 1-888-299-5466. You may also contact Del Concierge for assistance at or 1-800-HOTEL-DEL.

Where do I find information about the local area?
The CREW San Diego hospitality table will provide information on the NetWalk/NetRun, as well as local information including attractions, services, shopping and more.
